Update: Carlton Davis III

In Sunday’s game against the Patriots, CB Carlton Davis III went down with a quad injury and was assisted off of the field and carted from the sideline to the locker room. The MRIs have been completed and the team received a bit of good news.

According to a source with first-hand knowledge of the situation, the Buccaneers are expected to be without Carlton Davis III for two to four weeks with a quad strain. This is good news because it looked a lot worse during real-time on the broadcast.

The team, especially the secondary, has been banged up early on this season. Richard Sherman was signed to help out as a veteran and now will become the team’s top cornerback with Sean Murphy-Bunting, Jamel Dean, and Carlton Davis III injured.
