Najee Harris and Nick Bolton named NFL Rookies of the Month for October

Pittsburgh Steelers first-round draft pick running back Najee Harris out of Alabama and Kansas City Chiefs second-round draft pick linebacker Nick Bolton out of the University of Missouri have been selected as October’s Rookie of the Month.

Offensive Rookie of the Month Najee Harris has recorded at least 90 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in each of his games in October and totaled 356 yards on the ground on 88 attempts. Additionally, he had 17 receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown. He leaves the month of October with a total of 480 yards from scrimmage and 4 touchdowns. His 120 yards from scrimmage per game average and 4 touchdowns this month are the most among all rookies since Week. He joins QB Ben Roethlisberger (2004) and TE Heath Miller (2005) as Steelers who have won Rookie of the Month in October. He is also the third former Alabama running back to win the Rookie of the Month in October. Josh Jacobs (2019) and Eddie Lacy (2013).

Defensive Rookie of the Month Nick Bolton totaled 46 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, in five games in October. Also, those stats are the most by any rookie since Week 4. He joins cornerback Marcus Peters (2015) and safety Eric Berry (2010) as Kansas City Chiefs to receive the honor for October. Bolton is the third former Missouri player to earn Rookie of the Month. He joins DE Sheldon Richardson (11/2013) and LB Alson Smith (12/2011).
