The Buccaneers signed CB Richard Sherman earlier this week and it looks like he’s going to be thrown into the fire right away. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Sherman will be getting the start tonight against the Patriots as the Buccaneers continue to battle injuries in the secondary.
Sherman stayed in game shape throughout the offseason and is ready to go. In his career, Sherman has 484 career tackles, 36 interceptions, and three touchdowns.
The veteran cornerback picked up the defensive scheme quickly as he got right to work with the team after signing and getting in a full week of practice. We’ll see how big of a contributor Sherman is in his first game as a Buccaneer tonight at 8:20 in Foxborough.
