Will he play or will he no?: Tom Brady’s status for Buccaneers vs. Bengals

As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prepare for their first game of the three-week preseason, the number one question is whether star quarterback Tom Brady will suit up or not.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians emphasized that “everybody’s playing,” including GOAT Tom Brady.

As for how much Brady will play, that’s yet to be determined. Arians said Brady does not have a set number of reps for when the Bucs take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.

“We’ll just wait and see how it goes,” Arians told reporters in a Monday press conference. “It’s normally a drive or two. It won’t be many.”

The 2021 Buccaneers season will be Tom Brady’s first — in pewter, of course — in which there is an actual preseason. Brady came to Tampa just before the NFL wisely canceled their preseason lineup.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Cincinnati Bengals Saturday, Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. eastern at Raymond James Stadium.
